Miriam please read 2 peter 2:4-21. Please note verses 18 and 20 carefully. I'll reckon that you read this scripture. Not only you but all who would love to comment.

Kobe, we get into doctrinal trouble when we focus on one verse only, without others that address the topic. the bible also says "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us". I believe the other verse should be translated "He that is born of God cannot continually and deliberately keep sinning."

Greetings to you. Have you noticed I have not aired my own view on this? Well, my answer is Yes. Please read 2 peter 2:4-21. Please note verses 18 and 20 carefully. You'll see a classical example Peter gave us. The dog returning to his vomit.

John You are wrong when you say "He that is born of God cannot continually and deliberately keep sinning."
Hebrews 10:26. You are blessed.

I wouldn't say walk after, because that will be leaving God and to walk after something that is not worth while, but we do have our temptations that will cause us to slip along t way, so when we pray we have to ask God to forgive us of our trangressions.

There are many ways that one can sin, so we as beleivers have to be careful on what we think,do or say.
