Would you say that the statement 'love thy brother as one love thyself' cover those commandments. Simple if you love urself would you kill urself or steal from yourself?

actually it does not, the other half is to love the Lord with all ur heart. it is on these two precepts the law of God hangs. if we only love our neighbours as we love our selves it does not fully covers the laws of God

You are right, the first commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strenght. When we are in right relationship with God the second commandment is posible.
The Bible says that God is Love. And when we have God in our hearts we can love ourselves and our neighbors (friend and foe). We will naturally fulfill the whole law.

We can show our love to our neighbours by the way we treat them dont kill, lie cheat etc. these are practical ways of expressing love to our neighbours. Question how do we show love to God?

to show our love to God by obedient to his degrees and live and do right in our daily lives before him.
coz when we say we love God but our actions doesn't go with our words then we lie to God.
in 1john 4:7-19.God's love and ours.
God is love;who ever lives in love lives in God,and God in him.
if anyone says,I love God yet hates his brother,he is a liar.
Deuteronomy11:22
if you carefuly observe all these commands i am giving you to follo-to love the Lord your God,to walk in all his ways and to hold fast to him.
