Walking stick in hand and senses heightened My world is in darkenss yet my sight is brightened The stick taps to the pitter patter of my heart The street stretches before me: a long ending path Beyond the last lone lamppost I pass My time I take; no need to hurry or walk fast
I can feel the sun warming my skin As glorious as marigolds is the light I bask in How I long to see the colours of the world The trees, the flowers, the ppl with hearts of gold Without my sense of touch and taste Life on earth would be a waste
To touch petals of velvet and silk To taste fields of honey and milk This is my meat and my drink This is my heaven on earth, don't u think? Away with my dream when I could see; when fishes flew and forests walked and figs grew upon thorns Time to take the bull by the horns I may be as blind as a bat But I can survive in my world of darkness, and thats that!
