There were alot of dispute about is human being's life is programmed, or he has the choice??
I'll explain it by a story: Characters: Police man, thiefs and police office. The story: The police man learnt what is right and what is wrong depending on considerable references which are devided from God's instructions sent by his messengers. God's will was, that the police man will gain $1000, on 14-7-2007, at 9:00 pm, and he will die at 1:00 am of the next day. CASE # ONE: The police man captured thiefs during a bank robbery and arrested them, then he was awarded $1000 at 9:00 pm from the police station accoring to his courage, then while he was walking to home, he had a car clash, then he died at 1:00 am. CASE # TWO: The police man dealed with thiefs to give him $1000 and he will support them to escape, after thebank robbery, then they gave him $1000 at 9:00 am, and while walking to home, they clashed him by thier car, to gaurantee that he won't talk about them, and they took the money, and he died at 1:00 am. In both cases he gained $1000 at 9:00 pm, and died by car clash at 1:00 am, but he had the choice to be GOOD or BAD. At the judgement day, God will account him, in 1st case he will award him and in 2nd case he will punish him, because he had the choice and he is responsible for his behavior. Fate; an event that will inevitably happen in the future.
Choice; consists of that mental process of thinking involved with the process of judging the merits of multiple options and selecting one for action. Humans are limited in they're choices by they're location, awareness, skill. If i live in Iran and someone tells me they have $1,000,000 that they will give me if i make it to Canada in 20 min. their is no human being, living in Iran, who could collect the money. The reason for this is that humans are limited in the rate at which they can travell. If i never was told of this offer, i could never collect the money. If i developed a teleporter, hence augmenting my skill or ability to travell, i could collect the money. But, being that i have not attained the skill or ability to move from Iran to Canada in 20 min. this is a choice which is impossible for me to undertake and complete succesfully. Realistically, i could got to the airport and realize on the way i have already failed. Its inevitable that I will die. I know this because I am human and no human is immortal. I know that food water and air are needed to sustain my body and hence extend the longevity of my life. From this attained knowledge, it became inevitable that i, given the ability, will eat food and drink water and breathe air(which is relatively out of my control). There is no force other than my knowledge and my will which compell me to action. We all exist in this current moment, we all approach the future a day at a time. When a day passes and a new one begins, the prior day is no longer as vivid as the current day and our memory allows a recollection of prior experiances. The future is much like the past, it is not as vivid as our current experiance. The idea of the future arises out of our awareness of a real or potential action we may or may not attempt to undertake at a moment yet to come. We can think of moments to come because we have passed through many a moment and belive that we have a quota of momnts not yet used up. This idea of a quota of moments is a result of our mortality. Nobody has an unlimited supply of moments and hence we call this condition mortality(in opposition to mortality is immortality, which is unending existance) Only after we commit to an action or belief do effects become inevitable. Before i go to the fridge, its inevitable that i will eat(because of prior beliefs/knowledge)but the particular means by which i choose to fufill this need are arbitrary(my personal choice). I was not prtedestined to eat hot dog or a penut butter sandwich but i was predestined to eat as a product of the human condition. We all have our freedom to choose, some have more freedom than others. This goes back to our location, awareness, aquired skill/material. There are very few actions which are inevitable and so , believing in fate in its untimate sense is absurd. Posted by Trevor

Dera Trevor,
u've defined fate and chice in a good way. "There are very few actions which are inevitable" u said and thats what I mean So i agree with u, and these actions vary from a person to another because we are not all the same... Posted by Abd El Rahman Bissar

Choice is ultimate. We are given that majesty of choice, YET I do not use the word fate, as I do not believe in it, I believe there is something above choice, God. Divine intervention, most people call it. Although God leaves man free to do what he will, he still knows the future, and in a way, one could call that "fate". It's all a rather complex system of checks and balances really, as is philosophy. It's all still opinion.
Philosophy is that time period raised to the level of thought...... Posted by SigSaw

Hello
The policeman certainly had different choices between the end limit. He could have chose either to be with the criminals or against them. In both cases the end result was the prewritten death. In both cases there was a car crash. Conclusion of the story is that if there would not have been the car crash then the policeman would not have died. The police man had free will to chose among two different ways, as you said. The concept of the choice is clear from the story. However, the exact determination of the end of policeman's life is somewhat unclear. Because there is some exact physical explanation of his death. That there was a car clash. Who knew that there would have been a car clash? God knew that. God had nothing to do with policeman's choice. The God is right to deal him in anyway. Its true. However, my dear, the fate is defined in different ways in different theologies. For example, one that I know the most says that God has deffinit hand in every one's life actions. The other I know somewhat little says similar as you have mentioned that God has nothing to do during someone's life. Therefore, if you please, lets first clarify that what actually is fate? Will you say about this? I am happy to see that Mr. Trevor is also here. So we will again have some usefull debate. Posted by Mirza

This is true, we do have choices but what about the fear behind the choice.....
Some peole never learn their choices, never "wake up". This is not their choice but their lesson. You are absolutely correct in your story telling but thats considering that the person understands something more and is willing to name their fears not just their choices. i like it 8) Posted by leeanne stewart

Fate (in specific): All the events that will happen in a human being life (since he was born, and till his death), and these events some of it are MYSTICAL and the others are CLEAR.
Anothe definition to Fate: Events u can't control in ur life. Thanx Trevor, Mirza and I'm happy to see you here. Posted by Abd El Rahman Bissar
