Topic: Does really everything happen for a reason?
I used to believe that everything that happens in our life happens for a reason.Although we may not understand this reason at first,it's sense will be revealed to us after a period of time and then we know why this happened..
it's somethimg like the lyrics "Let it be, there will be an answer, let it be" by Beatles..

But there are some things in life that are too cruel and we cannot find a reason why those things had to happen..
What is your opinion?

In my opinion, everything does happen for a reason because it teaches us lessons and develops a sound foundation for our morals and ethics and later grow up to be adults.
There are some things that don't make sense...and it seems like it can be too much at times, but the fact is the greater the hardships, the greater the person you will be when you overcome them. how will your compassion and valor be challenged without a great obstacle or evil? If everything were as simple, it wouldn't be called life The fact that your still standing no matter what life throws at you means everything to some people.

things happen and they keep happening, but as the tide keeps coming and going we learn and when things have happened and we dnt understand them for the moment we think they happen fr a reason and we look for resons and so we find them, its not tht they happen fr a reason it is tht we find reason in them...we seek to justify and as the wrethedness or gaity shifts to be embedded in our minds only as memories, and as we move even more forward, we justify the past and that is how the reason apears, when we are born i dont think any of us knw why it happened, and many till later years dnt gt to knw why, they are forever lost in the transion, but the moment they get over that and start understanding the uncertain certainities around them they become more capable of justification and hence are able to find reason, and then it is said tht this was the reason i was born...it jst a way to keep one satisfied that we build a web of illusions and say it might have happened for a reason...it never happens so...for all u to knw how wrng or right i am, next time whn something realy bad or realy good happens to u, dnt think about it jst let it pass and u will never find any reason, nor any answer, and then it will be that it jst happened...and for those times when u dnt find any justification, well for the sake of explanation, i dont think e=mc(square) was formed out of a dream, i am quite sure einstien must have spent years learning frm one experience and then another and so on until he was able to justify the root cause, much like to put it in simple words he needed to go beyond a lot of other experiences to come bak and justify e=mc(square),sometimes something happens and its just tht u have never expeirenced any such thing and never come across any such thing and so u cnt justify it till later and so find no reason fr it, as if u never find the wrd to write tht answer because u havent read a particular book...

no offence to anyone jst my thought...night be wrng!!!

I think, not everything in the life should have an answer for why it happens.
B'coz,in my view every event in life just happens ;and we are the ones who should deal with it.It might seem to us that it might have happened for a reason but at the same instant,we could have missed the possibly hidden secret just before our eyes.

Things happen and that's a matter of fact.
Why do they happen? Because you say they happen. It's the existance, it's made by experiences. I don't think there is a particular reason for what happens in our life. In material universe there are causes and reasons.

things happen for the only reasons that they are the result of something which is also the result of something else, etc.

nothing happens for no reason, and we all have the possibility to change what happens by creating results or even changing the consequence of the results by forgiveness, this is the true freedom, to be free from the negativity, it should be the goal in life, well at least here in this negative world where almost every global result is made by violence.

people need to learn to forgive, to be free from the chain reaction of negativity that surround "almost" everyone.

i think people will forever be lost without the law of karma(retribution).
with this sense of responsibility our thoughts, words and actions will not attract any negativity and will not choke us in life.
causes will always produce effects, but undeserved things do happen.

"Undeserved"? That suggests that something is negative. The word karma is actually Sanskrit for "action", not "retribution". Therefore, no value-judgement is really involved. Actions do produce consequences, the response to which results in further actions that produce consequences... (ad infinitum). What if we think of karma as the Universe's way of letting us try what it's like to be on the other end of a situation, rather than as some sort of Universal judge waiting to throw things back in our face? Would karma, and situations, circumstances, etc. take on greater value?
