'Of no' benefit and 'others' and method instead of crime and 'stabilise' , should be added, oops.

I think individuals who are electrocuted and put on the death penalty because some believe it will end the lives of humans who have made other suffer is no of benefit. This crime should be banned, unless it is really necessary for murderers or paedophiles who keep on committing the same mistake time and time again with them having therapy and medications to help stabilised their wellbeing.
There are too many ethical concerning regarding this matter!
I also agree with Elle's comment about abusing and raping children. Once the child has been raped and abused this experience scars them for life.
But i do feel there are much more deeper internal psychological issues underlying within a rapist and murderers, and until they don't change their behaviour and realise the empathy they have for others, some action should be taken towards this.

. I never was for the death penalty until I became a teacher / social worker and saw some pretty horrible things that people did especially to kids. Now I'm for it!! As I said even after people commit such serious crimes and truly traumatize their victims and families they don't seem to learn and continue to repeat the same crimes. I think in some countries the laws regarding people like that are far too lenient especially for repeated offenders. Nuno you asked if someone "Could explain to you the logic of fighting murder with murder?" I think molesting, abusing and raping children are worse then murder! The victims have to live with the trauma of what happened to them for their whole lives. In some cases the victims are dead not in flesh they have to keep living in this world but they are dead because the person/people killed their spirits. They are little more then zombies. The living dead. So yeah in my opinion the death penalty should be enforced in more countries

I think the death penalty was suppose to be a way of detourying others for following the excamples of the people who commited serious crimes and teaching others that crime doesn't pay. (at least according to the bible) It's also cheaper and quicker than keeping them locked up in prison wasting thousands of dollars keeping and feeding them. Unfortunately some people never learn and are quite comfortable and proud of themselves even after they've commited some serious crimes.

I think possibly the worst thing a person can do to himself/herself is to be negative and adopt a pessimistic outlook in life. If someone chooses to be pessimistic then no matter what happens in their life they'll never be content and always be complaining, thus they'll never be able to enjoy life and their life would be a misery.

i agree with you, the death penalty is stupid, if anything a worser crime is to be able to live with the memories of your crime but human history has taught us nothing but violence. and its a very convenient excuse and hard lesson to forget.

Hi! I would like just to say that I find ridiculous the death punishement. What an arrogance to think they have the right to kill someone even if he/she killed hundreds of people! Could someone explain me what's the logic of fighting murder whith murder?
