The old blues really move me...the sultry tones of Nina Simone and the soul stirring Etta James are my number one.I could listen to the jazz ones for decades. Old hip-hop like Tupac, new like Talib Kwali, common, Erykah Badu and Lupe Fiasco...etc are just icing on the cake. But, to say that i have one specific type of music is wrong...I tend to listen to whatever music that matches my mood at the time...even rock(wateva category they put em in..hard,soft,headbangers)

I like him a lot, and also appreciate Dream Theatre, but sometimes it appears more like circus to me than music :|

//The most important quality of a guitarist, I think, is the feeling...//
I share quite much with this view, DoomFromBelow.
Yngwie Malmsteen is like the most boring musician ever to me. Talk about David Gilmore: he realized he could never play "fast", and focused on "how", not "what" - and the rest is history.

You are right Doom!
Legendary guitarrists can make the world seem different by the feeling they apply. There can be guitarrist with impecable technique, but without feeling it can be really dull.
Frank Zappa does the trick for me.

Many guitarist got the techinque and all, but some just got an amazing feeling that makes fall deep into your own soul (though I do not believe in souls)
