Fátima Adel, Alot of people you come across in today's society maybe shy, for a number of reasons: 1. They lack some confidence within themselves in some areas or aspects of their own life e.g. being able to conversate with alot of people on a superficial level, and being more introverted and quiet, choosing to talk about more in-depth topics. 2. Alot of people are naturally shy, which maybe a personality characteristic/trait they have developed from parents/childhood. 3. Define the overall definition of 'shy', as this has different definitions and meanings according to the invididual.

Also i think they are shy, because they are fear of make themselves visible, sometimes we feel it in social situations; that no one is looking at us. We may fear that we have nothing to contribute and everyone around us is much more interesting, Feeling overlooked can stem from low self-esteem; these people may say; i dont like the sound of my own voice"- they have such strong emotional reactions about their own traits, they assume others will respond in a similar way. Feeling overlooked and unnoticed is a byproduct of that insecurity we all feel from time to time; wishing we could melt into the group effortlessly, be more like them,, enjoy the close affiliations that we witness all around us.
