The Palestinian interior ministry in Gaza announced that it arrested last Friday a number of prime suspects in the Gaza beach massacre who confessed to important relevant information, adding that the suspects will be brought to justice soon.

Ihab Al-Ghussein, the spokesman for the ministry, told reporters that the Palestinian security apparatuses in Gaza are continuing to take security procedures and precautions to hunt down the perpetrators and prevent the recurrence of such crimes in the future.

Ghussein pointed out that interior minister Sa'eed Siyam will hold, during the coming days, a press conference to brief reporters on the investigation results and the findings reached by the security apparatuses about the Gaza beach bombing.

The spokesman denied that the interior ministry received information by Egypt about the escape of three men thought to be the perpetrators of the Gaza beach massacre to its territories.

He also refuted the news alleging that Hamas targeted institutions belonging to Fatah, saying that the Palestinian police stormed some institutions and found inside them explosive devices and materials for manufacturing bombs.

The spokesman strongly denounced the reports about torturing detainees during investigations, describing them as unsubstantiated fabrications.

In another related context, the interior ministry held Hillis family in Gaza fully responsible for its refusal to hand over a number of suspects in the recent bombings, warning them that it will not be tolerant towards anyone harboring suspects.

Palestinian security sources told the PIC reporter that Hillis family knows well that the interior ministry in Gaza is determined to arrest the suspects whatever the cost, holding the family fully responsible for the consequences of its intransigence.

In a statement received by the PIC, the minister of interior and national security underlined that the campaign of political arrests carried out in the West Bank by the PA security apparatuses affiliated with Mahmoud Abbas is supportive of the vicious campaigns waged by the IOF troops against the Palestinian people politically, militarily, economically and socially.

It urged all Palestinian citizens, factions and political forces in the West Bank not to surrender themselves to the Zio-PA security apparatuses and to stand united against the conspiracies being woven in broad daylight against the Palestinian resistance for the sake of the Israeli occupation and the American administration.

The statement called on all local and international media outlets to expose the Israeli-PA practices in the West Bank and not to comply with the threats and pressures of the PA security apparatuses.
