It all started off back in mid 2002 when Jean and a couple of his friends decided to start organising small parties with the concept of promoting quality dance music launching their events at Qube, Sinners in Heaven, Strings and Tattingers. In April 2003, Dark Energy introduced the maltese clubbers to the sound of Dj San of Fektive Records fame. August '03 introduced Dark Energy live on radio shows broadcasting progressive house music. During the same year, in October, Dark Energy gifted us with a special event i.e. one of the biggest names in dance music when they brought over Rui Da Silva! Over 1,500 clubbers attended the event at Gianpula! Danseezee Magazine rated Dark Energy's event as one of the top events of the year '03. This encouraged the Dark Energy promo to continue their ambitions with other successfull events; foremost, the leading breakbeat duo in the world " The Plump DJ's ! " Never in the maltese islands have we ever experienced such an innovative style. The current legends of breakbeat hit our shores with a massive impact on the crowd @ 'Tattingers Superclub' Also, Dark Energy Malta, were the only promo to provide the purest of underground music; the unique 'Crystal Sounds & Lost Future nights!'. Music policy was strictly underground. Of course no commercial cheese was allowed. These have been very successfull nights spreaded throughout a year, mainly 2005. Also worth a mention were the Vandit in Love Part 1, Part 2 & Thomas Penton events! After a very long break, Jean alongside Darren Vandit decided to launch the " Rock on to the PROG! " event. Scope behind this was an event full of progressive genres. Turned out to be a massive night. After this, both decided to re-launch the Dark Energy Malta Promotion back on it's feet!
