Topic: Hadiths
Muslims have difficulties when Christians quote some of the Hadiths because they do not like some of the information that is given about Mohamad.

I constantly read arguments on the internet about which Hadiths have correct historical information yet Muslims quote ALL of the Hadiths when they want examples.

So which Hadiths are acceptable in a debate?......What about the Hadiths about Mohamad's treatment of his enemies or his treatment of his wives?.....Of his marriage to a 6 year old child?....Are these Hadiths wrong too?.......Are there any Hadiths that Muslims feel comfortable about?

So which Hadiths are okay so I can debate their contents?

I have had criticisms of Shahih Bukhari but will read it again and refer to it in a debate.....I will hope that you will respond to it as you have said that it is a reliable source.....Because you have called it reliable, you will not be able to deny its words.
Thanks for the info.

Okay, Mohamad was supposed to have the greatest respect for women but Mohammed himself once deliberately struck ‘Aisha "on the chest which caused me pain", according to Sahih Muslim vol.2 book 4 ch.352 no.2127 p.462

Mohamad married Aisha when she was 6 years old.

2a. "(3309) ‘A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house at the age of nine. She further said: We went to Medina and I had an attack of fever for a month, and my hair had come down to the earlobes. Umm Ruman (my mother) came to me and I was at that time on a swing along with my playmates. She called me loudly and I went to her and I did not know what she had wanted of me. She too hold of my hand and took me to the door, and I was saying: Ha, ha (as if I was gasping), until the agitation of my heart was over. She took me to a house, where had gathered the women of the Ansar. They all blessed me and wished me good luck and said: May you have shared in good. She (my mother) entrusted me to them. They washed my head and embellished me and nothing frightened me. Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) came there in the morning, and I was entrusted to him." Sahih Muslim vol.2 book 8 ch.548 no.3309 p.715-716

All Hadith literature was complied no earlier than 200 years after the Prophet's (pbuh)death. They are full of political and cultural baggage that hardly assist in acquiring accurate historical truth. The Qur'an is paramount evidence that the One True God has revealed Himself to mankind, even through the imperfect vessel of a human being. Job got some things wrong and so did Araham but God still used them.
