For thus saith the Lord ...

Take no thought how or what you shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what you shall speak.

For it is not you that speaks, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks through you.

Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me.

I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.

At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One.

Be alert, be on watch! Your enemy, the Devil, roams around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

Be firm in your faith and resist him, because you know that other believers in all the world are going through the same kind of sufferings.

We win the victory over the world by means of our faith.

There was a man who saw a scorpion floundering around in the water. He decided to save it by stretching out his finger, but the scorpion stung him. The man still tried to get the scorpion out of the water, but the scorpion stung him again.

Another man nearby told him to stop saving the scorpion that kept stinging him. But the man said: "It is the nature of the scorpion to sting. It is my nature to love. Why should I give up my nature to love just because it is the nature of the scorpion to sting?"

Don't give up loving. Don't give up your goodness. Even if the people around you HURT and STING.

So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.

GOD DOES NOT CALL THE QUALIFIED
HE QUALIFIES THE CALLED

Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Because of His great mercy He gave us new life by raising Jesus Christ from death. This fills us with a living hope, and so we look forward to possessing the rich blessings that God keeps for His people. He keeps them for you in heaven, where they cannot decay or spoil or fade away.

They are for you, who through faith are kept safe by God's power for the salvation, which is ready to be revealed [in YOU] at the end of time.

Be glad about this, even though it may now be necessary for you to be sad for a while because of the many kinds of trials you suffer.

Their PURPOSE IS to prove that your faith IS genuine. Even gold, which can be destroyed, is tested by fire; and so your faith, which is much more precious than gold, must also be tested, so that it may ENDURE. Then you will receive praise and glory and honor on the Day when Jesus Christ IS revealed [in YOU].

You love Him, although you have not seen Him, and you believe ‘in’ Him, although you do not now see Him. So you rejoice with a great and glorious joy, which words cannot express, because you are receiving the salvation of your souls, which is the PURPOSE of your faith ‘in’ Him.

God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

So be confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

May God, the SOURCE of hope, FILL you with all joy and peace by means of your faith ‘in’ Him, so that your hope will CONTINUE to grow BY the POWER of the Holy Spirit.
