"...As i lay in my bed, looking up at the glow-in-the-dark stars my sister, Julie had arranged on our bedroom roof, I heard a creaking noise, coming from my dad's bedroom. Mum died the year before; I remember the way dad had drowned his heartache with Carlton cold. How he can drink the stuff, I don't know - it's disgutsing! I got out of bed and listened at dad's door. i heard a muffled moaning sound, what could that be? Knocking at the door I called out 'Daddy? Are you okay? Your bed's creakin' and i can't get to sleep.'
'Okay, Iz.' Dad replied. 'Just go back to bed. Play your music or something. Not to loud or you'll wake the twins up.'
The twins! It's all anyone thinks about around here! Don't do that, the twins are there...go outside and play, the twins are napping. What's so good about a pair of one and a half year old twins I ask you?
I went back to bed and played my favourite song (BIg Red Car, by the Wiggles), but still, over the music, i heard the springs creak....
