Today I was sent
Something so beautiful
With shining light reflecting
I knew it was meaningful.

I stared down upon it
Stunned by the sight
I knew I was fortunate
I recieved an angel that night.

I looked over her features
Holding in my sighs
From her soft glowing skin
To her sparkling green eyes.

I slowly reached out
Caressing her soft cheek
One tear I noticed slipped
From her eyes so meek

"What is wrong, my angel?
Why do your eyes gleam sad light?
Am I the cause of this emotion?
Did I frighten you this night?"

She grasped my hand
And shook her head
She hesitated a moment
Before she said:

"I am yours,
Please treat me well.
Please do not harm me,
And my heart will swell."

I smiled at the angel
I knew what I wanted to say
"I could not ever hurt you,
You take my breath away."

It was that night
Relief was spread
No more pain or fears
As I laid peacefully in bed.

I knew I was safe
For in my arms was an angel
I hoped, for her comfort,
My strength was all able.
