At first I just used to it to search the web, play games, and just general things.
 
  I finally ventured into chat rooms, but just observed as I did not have the nerve to chat or message anyone. Of course with a internet name like mine, I received a bunch of personal messages that asked some sexual questions and such, though I ignored most. I finally got up the nerve to start chatting and before long I had my own group of friends. I chatted with a few guys and even met some in person that lived pretty close but they either turned out to be JERKS or didn't pan out as anything as friends. I finally gave up on finding something other than friendship until October 14th, 1999. He sent me a private message of a friendly nature and I replied.    
          
  Before long we were chatting as if we had known each other for a long time. We started talking on the phone and the first time I heard his voice it went straight to my heart. I could tell him anything and he would listen without judging. I have children from a previous marriage and he always asked about them and discussed them with me. We ran up some pretty astronomical phone bills! He lived in Nebraska and I lived in Virginia. He flew to see me on March 2nd, 2000. The first time we looked into each other's eyes, we knew. He stayed only three days, but we made plans for me to go see him the next month. The day I watched his plane leave, I cried until I didn't have a tear left.

I felt as if part of me was gone, and it was! He called me that night and said he cried on the way home and knew that he didn't want to be without me. He asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes. We started discussing my moving there as there were not many job opportunities for him where I lived. I didn't think twice. On April 12th, 2000, I flew to Nebraska. He had already made plans for us to get married on April 13th. Of course everyone thought we were crazy but we didn't care. We knew it was right and that we would prove to everyone that we were meant to be together.

We were married at 1pm and had a two day honeymoon. I flew back to Virginia and gave notice at my job and started packing. It was the longest two months of my life. He flew back to Virginia on June 15th and after spending a couple days with my family we drove to Nebraska. I came here and got a job, and then went back to get my kids in July. I can honestly say that it's been hard. I had never lived away from my family. He has been my rock and listened to me cry from homesickness many nights, but has always been supportive. He is everything I have ever dreamed of and more. He is a wonderful stepfather to my children. They adore him. I have found my soulmate through the internet and have not regretted it one day. I see myself growing old with him. I tell him that even though I am homesick, which is not as bad as before, I would still do it all over again.

I can't imagine my life before him or without him. Somehow, I know that God meant for us to be together and that it's forever.
