ENGLISH Muse are a rock band formed in Teignmouth, Devon in 1997, comprising Matthew Bellamy ( vocals, guitar, keyboards), Chris Wolstenholme ( bass guitar, keyboards, vocals) and Dominic Howard ( drums, percussion). More recently, Morgan Nicholls has featured on bass and keyboards in the Black Holes and Revelations era live performances. The band blends alternative rock, progressive rock, classical music, funk, electronica, and heavy metal, to help form the new sub-genre of new prog. Muse are known for their energetic live performances and frontman Matthew Bellamy's eccentric interests in global conspiracy, theology and the apocalypse. [1] Muse have released four studio albums. The most recent, Black Holes and Revelations, was also the most critically acclaimed, garnering the band a Mercury Prize nomination and coming third in the NME Albums of the Year list for 2006. ESPANOL Muse es una banda inglesa de rock, originaria de Teignmouth, Devon. Está compuesta por Matthew Bellamy ( compositor, voz, guitarra, teclado y piano); Christopher Wolstenholme ( bajo eléctrico, teclados y coros) y Dominic Howard ( batería y percusión). Tras el lanzamiento de su cuarto álbum, Morgan Nicholls asiste a la banda durante los conciertos, haciéndose cargo de teclados, samples y de algunos coros. [2] Su idiosincrático estilo es una mezcla de indie rock y heavy metal, con una marcada influencia de compositores clásicos, especialmente, aquellos de la era romántica, tales como Sergei Rachmaninov. La banda es famosa por sus energéticas actuaciones en vivo y los excéntricos intereses del líder Bellamy en la conspiración global, vida extraterrestre, teología y el apocalipsis.
