About Me

Whats there to know ... I'm a very stuborn guy and look about as tough as they come, but I have a real soft side (I listen to Mandy Moore plenty if thats any indication of how just how soft I can be). I rock jerseys, throwbacks and do-rags but it don't mean I'm a thug ... I'm the 'Urban Gentleman'. I am a gentleman and a warrior - a man of strength, conviction and power.

I'm still living in Australia but plan on traveling a whole lot soon and eventually would love to plant my roots in Canada. I love my physical sports, boxing, rugby league, wrestling and anything else that involves hitting people. I also love to drive things that go fast. I'm willing to almost give anything a go within reason.

I worked as a ride operator at Dreamworld for the last 3.5 years (Australia's best theme park by far) after resigning recently in May. I now work for Woolworths Distribution which is hella fun ... easy job, real work ... if that makes any sense. I've also had jobs in all different industries including security and the film and television industry (I've had work as a stunt man/movie extra and have worked along side the likes of Benjamin Bratt, Joseph Fiennes and James Franco).

Interests

I'm a guy, so you know I love my motorcycles and cars. But I also love to read and catch movies ... anything with substance.

Favorite Music

Lionel Richie, Jamie Foxx, 112, Brian McKnight, New Edition, Earth, Wind & Fire, Boyz II Men, Eminem, Nickelback, Fort Minor, Linkin Park, Dru Hill, Donell Jones, Joe and a whole bunch of rising stars. I could really go on and on ...

Favorite Movies

A Walk To Remember, Saw, Hook ... To be honest theres plenty more ... but I just can't name them all at the moment.

Favorite TV Shows

I'm feeling Oz ... how can you not like a show that has man shanking other men ... bending them over, taking the up the wazoo and such ... each eposide is full of substance ... someone dies in every episode so its all good.

24 is kick ass and Jack Bauer will forever be my Idol.

Desperate Housewives, Lost & Prison Break are pretty addictive too ... Smallville is also a favorite considering I'm a bit of a closet Comic Book fanatic.

You know what ... nothing beats television from the 80's ... The A Team, MacGuyver and Knight Rider ... now that was good television.

Favorite Books

I love reading autobiographies ... In the last year I've read bios for Mick Foley, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Jackie Chan. I really don't know what kind of books I like ... but they gotta have substance. I'll read anything that is approved by Oprah's Book Club ... yeah you heard right ... if Oprah digs it ... then you know its gotta be good.

Loved reading The Da Vinci Code ... loved the whole Conspiracy Theory aspect of it. I intend on reading the rest of Dan Brown's other novels.

Favorite Quote

Love is always patient and kind, it is never jealous. Love is never boastful or cenceaded. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offence and is not resentful.

Yesterday marked the annual event for the team of Andy and Johnny. Today we let loose and ran havoc on Dreamworld. Our main goal today was to ride every ride at least once ... unfortunately for us the Rapid Ride was closed. We rode the Big 5 Thrill Rides (Cyclone, Wipeout, The Claw, Tower Of Terror and The Giant Drop). I can proudly say that we rode everything in Nic Central bar the Bumper Cars ... only cause the queue line was ridiculously l. The two other rides we didn't ride were Log Ride ... cause you can pretty much guarantee that you will always get wet and Vintage Cars ... for anyone that knows Vintage Cars ... its pretty much self explanatory ... It has to be the most crapiest of rides ever.

The highlight of the day would have to be Johnny's and my star performance at Slime Time at the Slime Bowl. We were both chosen to participate in the last game of the day ... Musical Pies. Now fortunately for us ... there was a lack of adults in the audience so we both had a good chance of being chosen to play. The game is simple ... its just like Musical Chairs ... but you use pies instead. You pass the Cream Pies til the music stops ... if you're caught with the pie, then you proceed to smash the pie into your face. Johnny got caught out before I did and we both had to perform Specialty Pies. When you get a "Specialty Pie", its not just as simple as smashing the pie into your face. Johnny performed the "SMASH SMOOOOOSH" ... this is where you smash the pie into your face the proceed to rub the cream pie up and onto the top of your scalp. My "Specialty Pie" was the "AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 PIES". This one explains itself ... smash the cream pie into your face then the pie must circle around your head as many times as you can until there is no cream left in the pie. Johnny and myself put on quite a show ... You all have to realise ... when your on centre stage ... you HAVE to give it your all. We were a hit with the crowd and I'd do it all again if I could. Everyone who knows me knows I love my hair ... my hair was the only thing that suffered with today's shenanigans ... but its all good ... This is what Andy & Johnny's Big Day Out is all about - Good Wholesome Fun. This years event was off the hook and was tonnes better then last years event. Looking forward to next year.

So what is there to say... Andy has more contradictions in one person than i thought possible. He is bitchier than most of the 15yr old girls i work with and yet loves giving to people. If he ever achieved world domination (sorry WHEN he acheives) the first thing he would do would be to design a "manly" handbag... and just coz he had one, it'd be cool. He's nice to olddies and kids alike and is hella good with parents but he still hasn't found himself a chicky who deserves him. Andy is blacker than my black heart and as if i'd dream of ever going to anyone but him for the latest goss on anything. U are the shit stalker boy and although im PO at you at the moment it won't last. Yeah we haven't known each other that long but im guessing that we will probably be bitchin right on into our old age...still playin a crap game of pool and dying of waaaay too much Ice Cream and KFC. Don't ever hesitate to call me for a chat cupcake EM xx (AKA Whitey)

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you my friend, Andy "Kariminal" Karim. However, do not let looks deceive you. While Andy may look like a tough, old style enforcer keeping the peace on the mean streets, he’s the sort of guy who will happily help old ladies cross the street and give generously of his time to those who need a strong helping hand. The tag of “urban gentleman” fits this man like a well-tailored Armani suit. He’s definitely streetwise, hip and very cool, but achieves this aura without effort, and with a modesty that severely understates his substantial talent at whatever he decides to do.
In short, Andy is more genuine than anything you will find in a Nike catalogue. Andy’s the archetypal “straight shooter”; I will always admire his belief in telling the story how it really is, and not how some people would like it to be told.
Although I don’t get to see much of Andy these days, I will always admire Andy for his easygoing manner, fundamental decency and the fair go he has always given me through the years. I hope that our paths will cross more often in the future, and that (contrary to his stated desire) he does not plant his roots overseas, as Australia’s loss would certainly be Canada’s gain.
